Step 9

Thoroughly roller with Silicone and Penny Rollers.

Step 10

Insert wall trim into chase and secure at 600mm centres with the supplied fixings. Rawplugs are not needed if a 5.5mm masonry drill bit is used.

Step 11

Thoroughly seal chase with Wall Mastic.

Accessories

External Corner (Skylight / Upstand)

Step 1

Mark rubber as shown with crayon or similar. A should be 85mm and B should be 135mm

Step 2

Prime brickwork and rubber with quick scrubber and handle and allow to dry.

Step 3

Fold up bottom of 9" flashing by 6cm (C) and carefully remove rear section of release paper. Start from the top, centralise and adhere in place, ensuring that the folded up 6cm section will finish neatly at the bottom. Once in place the folded-up section will be self-supporting and will allow you to remove the rest of the release paper.

Step 4

Using fingers, gently dress the flashing tape down the wall towards the deck paying extra attention to ensure it is tight into the angle change. Still using fingers, gently stretch the flashing tape, 1cm at a time, onto the roof. This will form a neat semi-circle. A gentle heat source such as a hot air gun is useful in cold conditions.

Step 5

Use a silicone and penny roller to ensure is properly mated, paying attention to the angle change.

Step 6

If there are gaps at the top of the corner detail use additional 9” flashing tape and primer.

Step 7

Thoroughly roller.

External Edge Corner

Step 1

External corners come with 2 removable tabs.

Step 2

Neatly abut trims.

Step 3

If Edge Trim meets Edge Trim then both tabs need to be removed carefully using a pair of pliers. If Edge Trim meets Gutter Trim then only one tab needs to be removed.

Step 4

Pushing on the corner gently, secure in place using the supplied poly nails or use our corner adhesive.

Horizontal Rainwater Outlet

Step 1

Place the outlet through the wall and mark around it using a crayon or similar, allowing an additional 1cm around the perimeter.

Step 2

Stir thoroughly and prime the underside of the outlet and the marked area on the rubber using a scrubber pad and handle. Allow both surfaces to dry.

Step 3

Mate the outlet to the rubber and seal in place using a penny and silicone roller.

Step 4

Round the corners of the 18" flashing tape (Horizontal flashing kit) with scissors and neatly position over outlet. Mark the perimeter with crayon.

Step 5

Prime the rubber and outlet using the scrubber pad and handle and extend primer beyond the crayon line by 2cm and into the mouth of the outlet by 100mm.

Step 6

Once touch dry, working from the bottom, position the 18" flashing tape and carefully remove the backing paper. Ensure it is tightly sealed into the corners and use a penny and silicone roller. Carefully cut the sides and top at the aperture and allow flap to drop into the primed outlet.

Internal Corner

Step 1

Adhere one of the upstands and apply contact adhesive to the remaining rubber and upstand as shown. Draw a 45-degree line from the corner outwards.

Step 2

Once dry, mate the EPDM as shown, up to the line. Fold the remaining section of rubber to form a neat triangular flap that will neatly dress into the internal corner.

Step 3

Apply primer with a quick scrubber pad and handle, allow to dry.

Step 4

Mate the surfaces together and roller.

Pipeseal

Step 1

Place pipe seal over the top of the pipe and cut with a knife or scissors to ensure a snug fit.

Step 2

Stretch boot over the pipe until the flange touches the deck, mark the perimeter with a crayon or similar, allowing an additional 2cm.

Step 3

Fold the pipe boot up or remove and apply primer to the marked area using the scrubber pad and handle, allow to dry.

Step 4

Reposition pipe seal, locate the join in the release paper and slowly remove at a shallow angle smoothing as you go with your hand. Once the backing paper has been totally removed roller using silicone roller.

Step 5

Apply a small bead of silicone sealant to the top of the pipe seal and secure with jubilee clip.

Rainwater Outlet

Step 1

Place rainwater outlet through the pre-cut hole and mark around it using a crayon or similar.

Step 2

Prime the underside of the rainwater outlet and 1cm beyond the marked area on the rubber using a quick scrubber pad and handle. Allow both surfaces to dry.

Step 3

Mate the surfaces together and compress with silicone roller.

Seam / Join

Step 1

Ensure rubber is straight and overlapping by 10cm, create a line 2cm away from the join using a crayon or similar. Position your thumb between the crayon and join as a good guide.

Step 2

Fold the rubber back and prime both sides and up to the crayon line using quick scrubber pad and handle. Allow both surfaces to dry.

Step 3

Starting at one end, carefully apply 3” quick seam tape to the lower primed area, ensuring the brown paper is in line with the crayon line, once the full length has been applied roller using a silicone roller.

Step 4

Overlap the rubber onto the brown release paper and slowly remove the release paper at a shallow angle, smoothing in place with your hand as you go.

Step 5

Once removed, thoroughly roller.
